Catrina Medium Double Card
The Catrina emerged during the Porfiriato era, when José Guadalupe Posadas made an engraving popularly known as the -Catrina Garbancera- referring to those people who had indigenous blood but pretended to be European, denying their roots and culture. The Catrina also became popularly known as the Catrines, a well-groomed, conceited and wealthy woman. When we refer to someone being very Catrina, it is associated with the above.
