Meaning : The Bodhi Tree was where Prince Siddhartha Gautama after a long personal journey, renounced his privileges and retired to lead a life of renunciation which culminated under this tree (a fig tree) vowing not to get up again until he discovered the truth, thus he spent several days until he reached the state of bodhi (awakening) becoming Buddha, which can be translated as the enlightened one because he suddenly understood the four noble truths. This tree becoming a symbol that reminds us of the power that resides within each one of us. The bodhi tree is part of our nature series.
