The Fleur-de-lis is the representation of the lily in heraldry. Louis VII of France incorporated the symbol into his coat of arms, and from then on it was considered a symbol of French royalty. It is a symbol of power, sovereignty, honour, loyalty, as well as purity of body and soul. In religious meaning it is the representation of the Holy Trinity.
