Large Glass Box Quetzal Piñatas Cards and Envelopes
The Mayan civilization played a blindfolded game of breaking a hanging clay pot full of cocoa, which can be traced back to the piñata, which originated in China where it was customary for New Year celebrations. Marco Polo brought it to Italy, from where it went to Spain and then to Mexico, making it an object of traditions. Each point of the piñata acquired a religious meaning, representing the seven deadly sins. Currently, it is an object of great tradition in our festivities and celebrations.
Quetzal is a word of Nahuatl origin, associated with Quetzali "Beautiful Bright Feather." The Aztecs associated it with Quetzalcoatl and the Mayans with Kukulkan, in both cases the link was with deities related to the sky and the earth, that is, the underworld and the overworld.
